A very sweet marina-style house in the city’s Southern neighborhoods was renovated without changing the footprint of the compact home. A disused lightwell was converted into a new bathroom, a cramped kitchen was opened up and made more usable, and a large island ties everything together. The basement was also improved by adding an electric car charger and skylight to provide light. New archways work with existing ones to create a home that feels whole and intentional.
