The Alexander Stuart House, located across from the historic People’s Park in Berkeley, is registered historic landmark that has fallen into disrepair over its 100 year life. The exterior finishes and windows will be replaced and restored to their intended condition, while the interiors will be renovated to accommodate modern living with an expanded kitchen, better access to the attic, and easy connection to the ample back yard. A new residential building at the back of the property will complement the historic design of the main building without competing with it.
