This custom home is located on a spectacular piece of property in Tiburon with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Starting as a modest kitchen remodel to make this odd home into something more usable, the project quickly grew into a whole house re-design and addition when it became clear that small fixes were not going to be adequate. Originally built as a modest spec home, the house had been renovated and added on to numerous times, resulting in a disjointed amalgam of many roof types and sizes, mismatched finishes and a truly garish 80’s interior. The redesign unifies the design with a series of stepped roofs, opens up the interior, upgrades the kitchen, and adds a new master suite. New decks and pool access take advantage of the views and sunny side of the home. Radiant floors, solar panels and a new plumbing system will make the home more efficient as well. Construction is underway.
