Pentagon Memorial Competition
This entry for the national competition to memorialize the 9/11 tragedy at the pentagon creates a sunken forest of local maple and oak trees whose leaves would turn just as the date approaches.

This forest is planted within a landscape of large tiles commemorating each victim on the ground and in the air. A path based on the principles of meditative labyrinths weaves through the forest linking each of the victims’ tiles.
